Prof1Group is a Ukrainian company which besides selling everything tacticool, manufactures their own line of uniforms under the P1G Tac brand. I must admit that I am very happy with the fact that we were able to obtain a complete set in a very interesting camouflage called Frog / Toad (Jaba Poliova).
SummermountainsetMK2(Summer Mountain TracSuit) wassewn from ripstopweavematerial(65%cotton, 35% polyester). The fabric is supposedlyIR, unfortunately we can notconfirm it as we lacksuch expensivetoyslikenight vision goggles. However, the material is quite warm and even ata temperature of approx. 20 degrees CelciusIrekwas sweatinglike a pig.
AllzippersareYKK, while the velcro is of unknown origin but does notrepresenta lower level. The quality ofthe materials used istrulyEuropean.
We receive the jacket and the pantsin as bag, which latercanbe used fortransportation or storage ofclothing orother items of equipment. Verynicemovefromthe manufacturer. After all,he couldputhis jacketinto afoilbag, and simply reduce costs.
The jacketresemblesa cross between aregular uniform jacketand a smock. Itsuits me just fine, because I am notan advocate ofbigjacketswithfuckzilliardpockets.Fourare enough.
Two shoulder pockets are open vertically. They fit a big smartphone quite nicely so you shouldn’t have any problems fixing a couple of your favourite candy bars there.
The entireexterior of thepocketis covered witha grayVelcro. Unlike most manufacturers, P1G Tac includes a patch in the corresponding camouflage to cover the whole velcro area. (see the previouspicture)
Two chest pockets have also vertical closure.Unfortunately, while wearing a tactical vestorchestrig we have no accessto thecontent. Additionalouter zipperwould be nice.
The inner part of each pocket is made from an airmesh material whichincreasesair circulation.
The jackethas a highstand upto protect againstwind, water, hail, whooping coughandother calamitiescausedby men.I do not knowifhigh collarcanpreventmosquitoesand otherforestbastardsfromentering. However, I’m sure itwill protectusagainst abrasionarisingfrom the useof slingsorshoulderstraps.
At the bottomwe have adrawcord by which we cancustomize thejacketaccording to weatherconditions orpersonal preference. In the forest, even when it’s hot, it’s better to tighten the drawcordso that notickswould suck into our arse.
A good idea isbipolarzippersunder the arm. It’s a summer uniform, so theextra spacefor coolingin handy.Withtwo sliders at hand we canchoose the rightsize of the gap. However, someoneforgot toinclude some mesh fabricto preventinsects andthe likefromfalling under the jacket.
Normally, jacket and pants, havespace forinserts onelbowsand knees.Unfortunately, they are notincluded.
The jackethas ahidden removable hood. The circuitcan be adjusted by the cordat the rear.
The hoodis tucked awayin astand-up in a Velcro closedpocket. If need be, it can we removed simply by uzipping.
Jacket sleeveshave a Velcro closureto adjustthe wrist circuit.Additionally, the sleeve isextendedon the outerside ofthe handto provideextra protectionagainst mechanical damage, etc.
Trousersis alsoa variation onAmericanmilitary solutions, which does notchange the fact thatIprefer P1Gpantsbetter thanthe ACUorMCCUU.
We have6 pockets. Two front, twothigh(with an additionalsmall pocket) and two rear.
The frontprovide easy access tocontent.Thereare shallow, and it’s important fortarganiuvaluables.
Thigh ones, unfortunatelyhave Velcro closure. It is notthe quietestormost convenientsolutionwhen youweargloves.Space, we get is not the largest. Oh,just an average capacitycargopocket.
Additionally, the pockethas a verticalzipper fromthe inside. We would appreciatethe opportunity toremove thecontents of the pouchwithouttwisting and turning while driving. Unfortunately, the zipper isquite shortand it’s difficult to insert the whole handoreasilyremove thecontent fromthe main chamber. The zipperisrather usedtoremovethe contents ofthe smallpocket, which takes IDs well enough.
In addition, eachthighpocket has drawcord. If thepocketis full,we can, in addition to thevelcroclosure, tighten thepocket.
Typicallyrearpockets are small.TheP1GTac pants’rearpocketsact asthe maincargopockets. They arebigandevenloadeddo not interfere withwalking or, even more, crawling. Pocketshavevelcro. I don’t know whythey didn’t notusedbuttons. I love buttons.
Thepants havefive 7cm wideloops, one of which has an additionalD-ring.
The crown jewels are hidden behind one buttonand a zipper.
Legsare finishedwith Velcroflap. Veryconvenient solution, though perhaps notas stable ascord.
P1GTacmay nothave inventedthe perfectset, but they managed tosew areallycomfortableone. I was particularly taken by the jacketthatdespite itsregular army jacketequeness(material) is very convenient, provided that all our gear is on a beltkit and a backpack. The hoodfurther enhances theversatility. As far as the pants are concernced I’d change all velcroes with buttons. AdditionallyI’d enhance the alternativeentrance tothe thighpocket.
The lastpart of the setis a combat cap. Despitehaving6 smallventilation holes, it does not provide thebestbreathing, but it canfitmylargehead. TheXL takes 63cm headswithout a problem. The capdoes not havevelcrooradjustment option.
However, all the powerof Prof1Group clothesis in the usage of theirJabaPoliova(FrogField) camouflage . As you can see, Jaba is a very green camouflage. Some might say, too green.
Frog, despitethe apparentbrightness, charmedand surprisedus with itsefficiency.I knowthat pictures do notfully reflectreality. You havemy word. Frogdoes its job!
